“Creating environments that maximise learning is deliberately deciding to create inspirational spaces. Putting it into practice is the magic and watching children fully immerse themselves into a world of wonder and joy, as a result of what you’ve created, is enlightening.” Michelle Pratt, Co-Founder of Enspirement.
Are you an educator or parent looking to create more meaningful spaces and experiences for children? Struggling to keep up with current trends, best practices and find inspiration?
What if you had a visual platform designed to help you create early years environments that enhance children’s development and learning?
Well, now you do; Enspirement.
What is Enspirement?
Enspirement aims to transform the early years' experience through meaningful environmental design, defending childhood wonder, and inspiring The Potential Place.
It’s the world’s first visual online platform focussed purely on early childhood. You can save, share, collaborate, build, and develop environmental design ideas while gaining and providing inspiration for educators and parents.
Enspirement, in essence, is a community of educators and parents that share their creativity and knowledge to better the lives of children globally. Enspirement offers a positive way to engage with each other, share inspirational content, and spark creativity and innovation, resulting in more fulfilling environments for children. We will connect you to a global community of peers, experts, and thought leaders, as well as providing an opportunity for you to grow your thinking and to expand your circle of professional connections and friends.
Your professional development and growth are important to us. We also believe in creating environments that inspire children’s learning and growth. Enspirement ticks both boxes in a fun, visual, creative way.

What is an Enspire?
An Enspire is a collection of images, descriptions, and potential product tags linked to the e-Commerce store that embeds pedagogy into an environment or activity that will provide children with better learning or care outcomes. An Enspire visually communicates and shares an idea with other parents and educators to recreate or better their environments for the children in their care.
The description and filters give greater insight into the Enspire, stepping other members through the creation process - why you created this experience or environment in the first place, why it was successful, and what could be or was done next to further children's learning. The description could also explore what observations were made, what interactions occurred between the educators and children and what the educators role was in enabling the child to get the most from this experience.
Save the Enspire for future reference and share it with friends or colleagues to inspire each other.
How Enspirement Works
Enspirement is a visual platform that filters inspiring ideas for early years environments. Watch the video below for a quick introduction to how Enspirement works.
How to make the most of Enspirement:
- Enspire. Browse our entire gallery of inspirational imagery by selecting the filters listed below. As you set the parameters, Enspirement will filter images so you see the most relevant content. Each Enspire will include details of how this setting was created and links to purchase products used, if available. You’ll also pick up new ways to incorporate every day, recycled, and found objects. Be inspired to improve, extend, and bring new levels of creativity to your own environments. You can save these ideas in a Lookbook or share them with your friends and colleagues to refer back to later, as well as build galleries for future reference or development. Collaborating on Lookbooks with your colleagues will align your pedagogy and rejuvenate your practices as a team.
- Source. Encouraging sustainable purchasing habits is important. We have carefully curated a list of resources that are good quality, safe to use and provide good learning outcomes for children. Through this platform, you will be shown how you can use these resources in different ways and how to combine these with repurposed, reused and recycled objects to create open-ended experiences for children with exceptional learning outcomes.
- Discover. Blogs, articles, webinars, and Q&A sessions are at your fingertips. Tap into our community of thought-leaders for content that is relevant to your professional development. You can share these resources and save them to refer back to.

The creation of heartfelt early learning experiences for children deepens their desire to learn and be curious about the world.
“Children are miracles. Believing that every child is a miracle can transform the way we design for children’s care. When we invite a miracle into our lives, we prepare ourselves and the environment around us. We may set out flowers or special offerings. We may cleanse ourselves, the space, or our thoughts of everything but the love inside us. We make it our job to create with reverence and gratitude a space that is worthy of a miracle. Action follows thought. We can choose to change. We can choose to design spaces for miracles, not minimums.” Anita Rui Olds, 1999.
Whether at home or in a group care setting, early childhood environments have a disproportionate effect on how children feel, engage, discover, think, and learn (more on this here). To make a positive impact in the lives of educators and children through environmental design, we have to do it right.
Environments that spark wonder, creativity, and discovery involve thinking and planning. With Enspirement, thinking and planning are easy. You get visual inspiration on a beautifully organised platform, and it brings early years communities together to share knowledge, expand thinking, and improve the environmental design of early childhood settings.
